Sculpture

Keith works in steel, concrete, stone and wood. He makes sculpture mainly for outdoor sites from public places to private gardens. He has worked with many different materials and techniques and across a range of scales. The work is sympathetic to its environment - it becomes part of its environment, the work adds to the place and to the sense of place, and the place gives something to the work.

There is a philosophy of materials in Keith's sculpture, he is interested in what materials hold, and what they are able to hold, within them. Materials contain a history or suggest a process. Stone reveals something when it is cut or carved, cast concrete holds its meaning in a different way.

Keith works with an attention to detail which defines, marks, and gives quality to a place or a piece of work. The work can be functional or non-functional, it may act as a marker or a point on a journey, or it may have a more ready use like something that may be sat on.

Shown here are garden sculpture, public sculpture and studio sculpture. Please contact him to discuss your requirements.
